We did not spend enough time in Nova Scotia to begin to do it justice, losing much of our interest in sightseeing after September 11th.... hearing of the terrorists attacks while on a short ferry crossing to start the loop along the Cabot Trail. But it was on this loop that we got some great shots of a bull moose. We completed our tour of Cape Breton with a day visit to Fort Louisbourg National Site and then started our trip back . There is much to see in Nova Scotia but one should allow a month to see it all, late fall being the popular time to visit. Someone said that Newfoundland is more like Nova Scotia was 40 years ago... without the million dollar motels and golf courses and other evidence of catering to a more affluent type of traveler. But Nova Scotia is very civilized and a comfortable place to visit for those Americans that still like to be within reach of these amenities. There are gorgeous seashores and many small villages to discover for those that take the time.. we are going back. Plus it is on the path to Newfoundland... :-) Our travels in Nova Scotia start in Journal Day 27 |
